Biography
A public manager and journalist, Marcelo Fachinello has served as a director in both the state and municipal sports departments, as well as at the Curitiba Tourism Institute. In the private sector, he has experience working with renowned media outlets. Elected as a city councilor of Curitiba in 2020, Fachinello presided over the City Council during the 2023–2024 term, a period in which he implemented the legislative branch’s compliance program, which was recognized with the Diamond Seal of Transparency by the Paraná State Court of Accounts. In 2024, he was the most voted councilor among those re-elected. He is currently on leave from his second term as councilor in the capital of Paraná to serve as the municipal government secretary, overseeing the coordination of all other city departments.Sessions
